Nun Ioanna (Saba) of Holy Ascension Convent on the Mt of Olives Passed Away
As reported by Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), Chief of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, on June 27, 2013, Nun Ioanna (Saba), resident for many years of Holy Ascension Convent on the Mt of Olives in Jerusalem, beloved by many pilgrims to the Holy Land, departed to the Lord. She was tonsured to the mantle by Metropolitan Laurus of blessed memory in August, 2006. Fr Roman requests that all pilgrims who remember Mother Ioanna continue to remember her in their prayers.
