Metropolitan Hilarion Celebrates the First Liturgy of the Pre-Sanctified Gifts of the Year

On Wednesday, March 5, 2014, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, prayed during divine services at the Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” at the Synodal residence in New York City, after which he celebrated Liturgy of the Pre-Sanctified Gifts. He was joined by His Grace Bishop Jerome; Protopriest Andrei Sommer, Senior Priest of the cathedral; Priest Nicholas Olhovsky; Hieromonk Evtikhy (Dovganyuk); Hieromonk Tikhon (Gayfudinov), as well as Protodeacon Nicolas Mokhoff; Deacon Nathan Mousselli; Deacon Nazary Fataliev and Deacon Denis Lvov.

At the end of the service, His Eminence congratulated all in attendance on the first Liturgy of Pre-Sanctified Gifts of the year, and wished everyone a spiritually-beneficial Lenten period.
