Five Hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Church Abroad Celebrate Divine Liturgy at the Church-on-the-Blood
On October 4, 2015, five archpastors of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Church-on-the-Blood in Ekaterinburg, Russia, before the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign.” His Eminence Metropolitan Kirill of Ekaterinburg and Verkhotursk officiated.
Vladyka Kirill was joined by His Eminence Metropolitan German of Kursk and Rylsk; His Grace Bishop Innokenty of Nizhnetagilsk and Serovsk; His Grace Bishop Mefody of Kamensk and Alapaevsk; His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, Vicar of the Eastern American Diocese of ROCOR, along with clergymen of the Russian Church Abroad: Protopriest Vladimir Boikov from the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand; Mitred Protopriest Stefan Pavlenko of the Western American Diocese; Priest James Carles of the Australia and New Zealand Diocese, and Protodeacon Alexander Kichakov of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America, and clergymen of the Ekaterinburg Diocese. After Liturgy, the Ruling Bishop delivered a sermon and expressed his heartfelt thanks for the joint prayer, giving icons of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers to Metropolitan German and the representatives of ROCOR.
