Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan Participates in 3rd-Anniversary of the Enthronement of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onouphry of Kiev and All Ukraine

On August 17, 2017, the third anniversary of the enthronement of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onouphry of Kiev and All Ukraine, Divine Liturgy was celebrated at Uspensky Cathedral of the Kiev Lavra of the Caves. Officiating was Metropolitan Onouphry himself, who was elected the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church at the Council of the UOC on August 13 of that year.

Concelebrating with His Beatitude was a host of hierarchs and clergymen, including His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, Vicar of the Eastern American Diocese and Deputy Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, and a group of pilgrims he headed.

The Prayer for Peace in Ukraine was read during the augmented litany.

At the end of Liturgy, Vladyka Nicholas congratulated Metropolitan Onouphry on behalf of the Russian Church Abroad.
