Feast-day celebrations at Resurrection of the Lord Cathedral of the South American Diocese include a hierarchal service of Orthodox archpastors

On Sunday, 1 May, 2022, the 2nd Sunday of Pascha and St Thomas Sunday, Resurrection of the Lord Cathedral in Buenos Aires, Argentina, hosted a joint archpastoral service to mark the cathedral’s feast day.

At the invitation of His Grace Bishop John of Caracas and South America of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, bishops of fraternal Orthodox Churches participated in Divine Liturgy: His Eminence Metropolitan Iakov of Buenos Aires and All Argentina (Antiochian Patriarchate); His Grace Bishop Kirill of Buenos Aires and South-Central America (Serbian Orthodox Church) and His Grace Bishop Leonid of Argentina and South America ( Moscow Patriarchate). The hierarches were joined by clergymen of the Local Orthodox Churches.

The services were performed in Church Slavonic and Spanish.

After divine services, Bishop John warmly greeted all those in attendance and thanked them for their joint prayer and participation in the celebrations.

The bishops, clergymen and worshipers continued their celebration at a festive trapeza feast that followed.
