The Russian Orthodox Male Choir performs in Melbourne

On Friday evening, August 2, 2024, the Russian Orthodox Male Choir of Australia under the direction of NA Kotlyarov performed for the first time at the Town Hall of Melbourne, Australia. Some 700 people attended the concert.

In the first part, the choir performed sacred music by Russian Orthodox composers: Rachmaninoff, Chesnokov, Bortnyansky and Grechaninov.

In the second part, the choir performed Russian, Italian and English folk songs. Everything went very well and a cheerful, friendly atmosphere reigned in the hall.

The following weekend, the male choir sang liturgical hymns at the Sunday all-night vigil and Divine Liturgy at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Melbourne, where Archpriest Nikolai Karypov presides.
