Protection of the Holy Virgin Church in Hollywood celebrates it feast day

On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America officiated at Divine Liturgy at the Protection of the Holy Virgin Church in Los Angeles, CA. Serving with His Eminence were His Grace Bishop Peter of Seattle, vicar of the Western American Diocese, and the rector of the church, Priest Sergey Novichkov.

The service was sung by the choir under the direction of parish elder Olga Sorokina.

After the Divine Liturgy, there was a procession around the church, after which Archbishop Kyrill congratulated the clergy and parishioners on the feast day and gave everyone his archpastoral blessing.

The celebrations ended with a communal meal, where the clergy and parishioners continued to enjoy festive fellowship.
